This is the left hand side insert the reason why we chose this picture as it symbolizes loneliness a aspect of which our music video portrays also this is one of the locations in which we shot our music video so is a location photo in which many albums use. Viewers will recognise this photo from the video and the reason why we made the photo black and white is that it represents the past. Also the insert of the album does not consist of many bright colours therefore black and white suits well with the house style. This is the second insert of the album which will be placed on the right hand side. Here we used a montage of the two actors as photo booth pictures and this links to the music video as in the video the couple take pictures in the photo booth and these are essentially the photo's from that scene. The photo booth picture plays a big role in the music video as it the only thing that Tyler has to remember of his old girlfriend. Initially I thought that it would be good to have the photo booth pictures ripped up into pieces and that should be the insert with the pieces scattered around the CD as this symbolises that the couple are not together anymore and that they have broken up it also closely linked to the end of the video where Tyler burns the photos and then rips the photo's to shreds before chucking them on the floor and walking away. However, Yasmeen and Stephanie decide that the pictures should be intact as the photos should tell the audience what they used to have and the good times they shared as some what memorabilia. Therefore that is how we decided to the second insert. Again the photo's are black and white sticking to the house style and the photo's background looked better as black and white.
This is the final CD and it is just plain black CD with the artist name and the album name in a white font. It follows the Amerie case study where her CD is a green color CD with her name and album name in a simple bright white font. The Amerie case study follows its house style throughout and our CD also follows our house style therefore it is consistent with the rest of our print products as the magazine advert uses the 2 of the colours used here black and white in its color scheme.
This is how the CD would look on the side which consists of the CD insert.
